Spiritual Direction - In Formation

I am currently in formal formation for spiritual direction and anticipate beginning this work upon completion of training in Fall 2026. I am not accepting spiritual direction clients at this time.

About Spiritual Direction

An attentive companion for meaning, and inner life.

Spiritual direction is a practice of deep listening—listening to your life, your questions, and the subtle movements of meaning within you. Together, we create a steady, compassionate space to notice what is unfolding and to discern what may be asking for your attention, trust, or response.

What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual direction is a reflective, relational practice that focuses on your lived experience rather than instruction or advice.

It is a space to notice how meaning, values, questions, and inner movements are showing up in your life—and to explore them with curiosity and care.

The work is not about fixing, teaching, or directing, but about listening together for what feels alive, difficult, or quietly asking for attention.

Whether you name the sacred as God, Spirit, nature, mystery, or simply the unfolding of your life, this is a place where your experience is held with reverence and trust.

Who is Spiritual Direction For?

Spiritual direction may be a good fit for people who:

• Are seeking a deeper, more attentive relationship with their inner or spiritual life

• Are questioning, reshaping, or discerning their beliefs or values

• Want space to reflect on prayer, meditation, contemplation, or spiritual practice

• Are navigating transitions, loss, or questions of meaning

• Desire a grounded, non-judgmental companion rather than advice or solutions

How Spiritual Direction Differs from Therapy

How Spiritual Direction Differs from Therapy

Spiritual direction and psychotherapy serve different purposes, though they may feel complementary for some people.

Spiritual direction is not focused on diagnosis, treatment, or symptom relief. Instead, it attends to questions of meaning, values, inner movements, and spiritual experience as they arise in everyday life.

Therapy typically works with psychological distress, emotional patterns, and relational or behavioral concerns. Spiritual direction focuses on discernment, awareness, and listening for what is unfolding in your inner and spiritual life.

When therapy is needed, I will name that clearly and help you seek appropriate support.
